According to the beliefs of Fiqh-E-Jaferia ....

This edition is an update of the work of our father, and grandfather Mahomedali Habib (pen name M. H. Shakir). Though many of us never knew him, he continues to inspire and motivate our family to contribute to the welfare of humanity however we can.

At a time when the message of the Holy Quran was not accessible to those who couldn’t speak or understand Arabic, our grandfather set out to compile this translation in English so that his family could understand the word of Allah swt. Today, this translation is still the favourite of many Muslims from around the globe.

Mahomedali Habib devoted his life to the welfare of humanity. He, with his brothers, founded many educational and benevolent institutions in Pakistan that continue being managed by the greater Habib family today.

This translation was his last work. He completed it on 22nd February 1959(14thShaban 1378). The very next day, he had a heart attack and passed away about a month later on March 30th 1959 (20th Ramadhan 1378).

As he said: “This book is an unapologetic, straight-forward and authentic translation. No attempt has been made to appease or please anybody, but God.”

Please recite a sura Al-Fatiha for Mahomedali Habib and for all the departed souls of the greater Mahomedali Habib Family.
